Known as Nandighosa Ratha, it also goes by the names Garuda Dhwaja, Chakradhwaja, and Kapidhwaja. 

Nandighosa Ratha

Ownership and Creation 

Owned by Indra, the king of gods, and crafted by the divine architect Biswakarma. 

Constructed using 831-742 pieces of durable wood, standing tall at 44 feet 3 inches (33 hands and 5 fingers). 

It boasts 16 wheels, each with 16 spokes, and a substantial wheel radius of 7 feet 

– Adorned in vibrant colors of yellow and red, symbolizing auspiciousness and energy. – The chariot's structure is intricately carved in the shape of Bhadra Peetha, resembling a blooming lotus.

Carries the principal deities Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath and Shri Madanmohan, symbolizing divine presence during the Rath Yatra procession. 

– Guided by Sarathi (Charioteer) Daruka, ensuring the safe journey of the divine chariot. – Guarded and protected by Garuda, Indra, and the fierce deity Nursingha.

– Pulled by four majestic horses named Shankha, Balaahaka, Shweta, and Haridwasha, symbolizing strength and swiftness. – Accompanied by Gandharva Baidhuti, providing celestial music during the grand procession.
